Xbox 360 slim arcade random disconnect issues 10/12/2010?
Ok so I just bought a new xbox 360 slim (4 gb arcade model) and gave my old one to my gf. The thing is that the slim model randomly disconnects from live. I live in a dorm on campus and have gone through the necessary steps to authorize my 360 to connect to the internet. The 360 is connected to an ethernet hub since there is only 1 working ethernet port in my room. The strange thing about this is that the xbox will disconnect from live and I wont be able to sign in from the guide, however when I test connection it will go through the normal steps and connect to live again! anywhere from 30- 90 mins later is disconnects again and i have to repeat the process. This happens not only in games but in netflix as well as the dashboard. If it helps my old xbox had the public preview program for the kinect dashboard. I never had this issue with my previous xbox (elite jasper chip set). Thanks
